1.- What kind of underlying storage mechanism are you using? Are the storage devices attached locally or over the network? Are the disks SSDs or HDDs? What kind of RAID and/or volume management system are you using? A: Our storage mechanisms are locally attached disks with centos 7 over Windows Server 2012 R2 with Hyper V, those disks are SAS type on RAID 5. 2.- Would you please check the integrity of your disks? A: We’ve checked the integrity 3 times until now. 3.- Has the database always been running this version of MongoDB? If not please describe the upgrade/downgrade cycles the database has been through. A: Yes, it has been running since the creation under 3.0.7 version. 4.- Have you manipulated (copied or moved) the underlying database files? If so, was mongod running? A: We copied the files into a new one with the same version (3.0.7) with no success. 5.- Have you ever restored this instance from backups? A: No, i haven’t . I didn’t prepare the backup correctly, so after the unexpected shutdow i recovered the damaged file system, wich i’m using for trying to retrieve my information. 6.- What method do you use to create backups? A: I had a problem when i prepared the backup, i chose a wrong path, and it was made with HP’s Data Protector. 7.- When was the underlying filesystem last checked and is it currently marked clean? A: The last check was yesterday (July 5th) and it was clean.
