Right now Compass requires the user to fill in a set of fields to establish a connection.
Given the number of fields to fill this can become:
a) hard to troubleshoot
b) tedious to fill in.

Autofilling/autocomplete does most of the work by identifying mongodb uris in the copy clipboard, but that just hides way, from the less experienced users, the need to validate that all the fields are properly set to establish a connection.

It would be great if would have an option to just provide a MongoDB URI and use that connect to the hosts.

This would greatly simplify some of collateral issues caused by autocomplete like not filling all fields or having local machine encoding issues.

This would be an alternative to filling in all form fields. It would be extremely helpful while troubleshooting issues if we only request users to fill in one field instead of multiple.
