Problem Statement/Rationale
A user on our community forums requested the following feature:
When opening a database with Compass, the current behavior is that all tabs display generic labels, such as "Documents" and "DBName." To identify the collection to which each tab belongs, the user needs to mouse over or click on the tabs individually. This process can be time-consuming and inefficient, particularly when working with multiple collections.
To enhance the UX, the user proposes modifying the Compass tabs to display the name of the collection directly, eliminating the need for users to hover or click to identify the corresponding collection. By implementing this improvement, users will have immediate visibility of the collection they are accessing, leading to increased productivity and a more streamlined workflow.
Please refer to the attached images for a visual representation of the current and proposed tab behavior.
