Per the forum discussion [here]( https://www.mongodb.com/community/forums/t/how-we-can-use-count-clause-in-mongodb-compass/9651), Compass is supposed to display the total result count to the right of the pagination dropdown, at least to the extent that fetching said value doesn't time out.

However, even when I set huge values for "Max Time MS" and "Limit", I continue to see "N/A" listed instead of the total count figure per the below image.

I'm on Apple M1 Max running MongoDB Compass 1.44.6
