      CXX-3063 removed regeneration of all API doc pages (in their entirety) and CXX-3068 reverted (most) old API doc pages to their initial state. These changes also revert the homepage of each API doc page to their initial state, meaning versions released after the creation of the API doc page no longer listed on the API doc homepage for each version.

      Implement an alternative method for keeping the API doc homepages up-to-date with latest release versions that does not require total API doc regeneration (e.g. updating the top-level index.html only in a targeted manner).
