Transformations to BSON Date Only Work for DateTime Objects and Not Date Objects.

      Not sure if this is a design decision but when saving a document to Mongo with a Date object causes an encoding error. However, saving it as a DateTime object works. What's the reason for the inconsistency? Thanks!
