For correlating server-side connections to application activity we can include purpose identifier into the platform field. The purpose can be:

• application
• monitor
• push monitor

The data itself will be one byte long (A, M or P) but with a preceding comma and space we'll be adding 3 total bytes to the platform field.

It seems we never send the metadata on push monitor connections, which probably should be fixed in a separate ticket.
