Hi!
Currently, the Ruby gem bson-ext is indicated to be released with the Apache 2.0 license. However, it contains the file ext/cbson/encoding_helpers.c, which headers contain only the license granted by Unicode, which in itself does not allow to make modifications.
This is the only file with an explicit license mentioned in the headers.
Without any confirmation of you that a free license applies to this file (the only one explicitly mentioned in the file for the moment is non free), if the file stays as it is, bson-ext cannot enter the Debian archive.
Could you please explicitly mention in the headers of that file which license applies, since for the moment the license included in the header does not follow the Debian free software guidelines. In particular, could you confirm that Apache-2.0 license applies to this file too?
Thank you in advance!
Cédric
