The README currently contains the following sentence in the "Platforms" section:

The driver tests against Linux, MacOS, and Windows in CI.

This is a bit vague. For example, it omits which versions / distributions of the platforms we test against as well as their CPU architectures. Also, is the driver only considered to have support for platforms we test against?

We should update this section to be more clear. We could consider adopting the same platform support guarantees that Rust itself does: https://doc.rust-lang.org/nightly/rustc/platform-support.html
