As a possible extension to SERVER-99206, it would be nice if we had a way to programmatically access the format of arguments for each aggregation expression, as well as possible type of operation: for example, scalar and/or accumulator, or window function.

Such an API would help us ensure coverage for our aggregation pipeline library, and probably would see usage in other contexts.
