It's hard for me to give repro steps for this that don't involve using Data Lake as the shell does validate the provided BSON on insert. If it helps, here is a copy of the BSON document we returned to the shell: binaryFile.bson

Data Lake sent the shell a BSON document that contained embedded nulls in the field names. This is invalid BSON, and it caused the shell to seg fault.
