Replication
Chaining is turned on by default in replica sets. I believe the reason for this is to limit load on the primary and to limit the amount of data transferred over the network between regions. We should look into whether this default still makes sense for all clusters or if it is getting in the way of some clusters having faster majority write acknowledgement.
