We want to have the ability to quickly filter the merged logs coming from Resmoke or MongoDB server logs by:

• emitting process(es) - only in case of Resmoke log
• severity(ies) (ERROR, INFO, WARNING, etc.)
• component(s) (COMMAND, QUERY, NETWORK, etc.)
• context(s) (connections or background threads)

This can already be done using regular expressions, but typing regular expressions by hand is tedious and error-prone. Instead, we want to provide a faceted search where the user only needs to select the available options.

We would like to have this feature in Parsley, but until it is available, we would like to have an alternative tool to demonstrate the usefulness of this feature. We should test if the faceted search is already implemented by l2 or if we need to extend it or implement from scratch.
