    • Type: Icon: Task Task
    • Resolution: Done
    • Priority: Icon: Major - P3 Major - P3
    • 3.0.5, 3.1.6
    • Affects Version/s: 3.0.2, 3.1.4
    • Component/s: mongodump, mongorestore
    • None
    • Kernel Tools Iteration 5, Kernel Tools Iteration 6
    • Not Needed
    • v3.0

When done with a collection, we should log how many documents were dumped or restored, so our users can check for consistency during their backup process. This is especially necessary since the results from the count command can be incorrect on sharded topologies.
