I often find I want to selectively see specific verbose messages temporarily without getting all the noise of the entire category (like LSM). Right now I hack around it and set a verbose setting of WT_VERB_LOG or something else I know I'm not using so that I can cherry pick the messages I want. It'd be nice to formalize this into a verb=(debug) setting that is always available but otherwise not used.
