      The words file and block are used interchangeably, see an example here:

          BlockStat('block_reuse_bytes', 'file bytes available for reuse', 'no_scale,size'),
    BlockStat('block_size', 'file size in bytes', 'no_scale,size'),

      It would be great to stay consistent in our stats and documentation.
