As pointed out by andrew.morton@mongodb.com, we use the error code 127 in test/format which can be confusing since we can't distinguish between a WiredTiger crash or a bash "command not found" error.

The scope of this ticket is to choose a new error code to return which is obvious it comes from the format.sh script
