As part of the investigation around enhancing the dynamic eviction worker algorithm (WT-3437) we encountered a workload where performance improved siginificantly when only a single eviction thread runs.
We should understand why performance is better with a single eviction thread, and try to make multiple worker threads achieve similar throughput.
