The ticket tracks any of the following work still remaining:

Testing the S3 extension on the evergreen using a single job that compiles the extension and runs the unit tests and the tiered06 test (or s3 store test if ~~WT-8719~~ has not been done yet).
Adding the above job to all the platforms we would like the S3 extension to be tested on. Ideally, this will include the ARM platform.
Unit testing can continue using the AWS credentials from the environment variables (or stored in the home directory). Python tests should switch to or also use the credentials passed through the store's configuration to create a file system.
