buildscripts/evergreen_task_timeout.py supports configuring a default exec timeout for required build variants. However, we are missing similar functionality for configuring a default idle timeout which roughly corresponds to the individual test timeout. This gap leads Server engineers to sometimes write slow tests which take longer than 20 minutes to execute and degrades the overall required patch build experience.
